Track this weekend and Halloween CX

OK, I'm putting a stake in the ground. I'm going to race low key track this weekend - if it's not raining, that is. To accomplish this, I will dust off my helmet and ride tomorrow and Friday so my legs can remember what it feels like to ride before I punish them.

As of today, I have 10 of 16 sections of my thesis signed off and turned in. Wooo hoo! 14 sections are in the review process. So, what does this mean? Cyclocross weeekend on the 27th and 28th! I'm going to join the Bella clinic on the 27th and then give the race a whirl on the 28th. I just have to decide if I'm going to be Sarah Mistress of the Web or Sarah the voodoo doctor. The mistress of the web thing would have to be modified, since I'm pretty sure I can't ride my bike in vinyl pants....hmmm.

Please vote for a costume.

Web mistress. Vinyl pants during the costume race should be no problem at all...

you totally could race in vinyl pants! just add some lube so you can slip on & off the saddle. dang! that sounds dirty.

vinyl pants on a bike? they look kind of tight. i don't know.

or maybe i'm thinking of leather pants. those would be more painful i guess.

i've found there's nothing one can't do in vinyl pants.

Hmmm, perhaps a show where you model the costumes for the selection committee is in order. How's the schedule looking?

Wow - what a flurry of activity! Nothing like vinyl pants to attract attention to the old blog, eh?

So, it looks like panda, VG and OV are all voting for mistress of the web. lauren and rick are on the fence. I probably will need to have rick review the costumes before he can properly vote. How's Friday night, sweetie?

You have got to be the web mistress - 'cause 'cross hurts soooo good. You can always substitute spandex for the vinyl, but the vinyl is much cooler...

vinyl baby, vinyl.

if the vinyl-saddle friction is a problem, you can just ride out of saddle.

dbrider - welcome! yeah, I was thinking spandex could be a backup option.

twinkie - easy for you to say, being of pixie stature. If I ride for 30 minutes out of the saddle, I'm likely to blow a gasket, or heart valve or something.

ummmm.....how about a little creativity and something totally new and different. I think VB has a rule about recycling costumes.

VG - It wouldn't be recycled for bike racing!

If you do the web mistress, how well will you be able to handle the whip while riding? Are we going to practice first?

c-rick - I'm thinking one hand on the bars and the whip in the other hand. Then, I can keep my competition in line.

Voodoo definitely. Sweating in that should be comfy.
