They've all up and left for Kern. And, I'm sitting at my desk in full team kit daydreaming about Kern when I should be working. Oh well....it will still be fun to pre-ride Mt. Hamilton this weekend!
Good luck to all the ladies lighting up Kern County with their fabulousness!

Sorry that you were put on the 'disabled due to wedding duty' list. Perhaps you should pen in Kern onto the calendar for next year so that no one attempts to opt you out of the trip. 'BakingFields' is so much fun ;)
In full team kit at work? That should count as double training time :).
I'm also office bound & it's making me nuts...
cyclistrick - yeah, we're blocking the calendar out next year!
panda - I'm no longer in team kit. But, I usually end up sitting around in it a while after my ride, because I get all tangled in my email upon arriving at work (or the 'emergency' du jour). I hope you're feeling better!
How was the wedding? The timing stinks.
The wedding was sweet. I'm glad we went. It's a good friend, and they had been dating for like 8 years on and off. He felt he had to wait until his little daughter was grown before committing to my friend as his #1. So, it was a long time coming, and well worth the wait!
Chris, the wedding had one of the more unusual accoutrement I have seen, or should I say the reception did. The reception was held at the couple's small house in San Jose, a house with 1 bathroom. So they upped the ante with a deluxe mode port-a-let on the front lawn.
So sorry you missed Kern. I think it was the highlight of my experiences on teh bike so far! What a great group of women and bikes (and guys to be awesome and help out so much). Next year you have GOT to go!!!!
