Today is my dad's birthday. Happy Birthday, Dad!
I finally launched a huge project with my team last night. It's been a year in the making, and we're really proud of the work we did. And, I've been busy with email from all our regions at all hours answering questions, hand-holding on the new process, etc. I'm beat, and I hope to catch up on some rest over the weekend (ha! a girl can dream).
I missed the Twilight Crit last night due to the launch, but was able to squeeze away from my computer long enough to catch the Tri Flow team workout in Woodside. What a fun bunch of ladies! I'm sure they will do well in their first race. And, if all goes according to plan, I will get to race with them, since their race is also on my calendar.
This weekend is Timpani Crit, which will be a treat, since it's just a few miles from our home. Rick is going to pull my trainer over to the race with his Burley trailer. It should be fun. I am looking forward to this race, but also looking forward to some fall fun with long rides that have absolutely no purpose to them other than to watch the changing leaves and smell the smokiness in the air. My favorite time of year is just around the corner. Hooray!

oh, oh. Now I have to do the trainer -in-the-trailer drag on Sunday. Guess I had better cut some cardboard out for a support base. What else do I need to pack into ye olde Burley?
Yes, busy days, but in 3 weeks you can relax a tad bit as you end your racing season. Then we can party! At least for a couple of days until you buckle down with your e-portfolio and school :-(
You're lucky you finished HP before this weekend, then...I just bought it (after realizing that spoilers won't be labeled as such forever), & I'm probably not going to be racing on Sunday if I don't finish before then...:)
I'm really looking forward to the fall, too. It's been so nice lately, with calm little rides and the gorgeous sunshine...races have too many logistics.
panda - yeah, you better get crackin' on ye olde HP. Spoilers abound! Happy reading.

oh yeah!
i love, love, love the fall weather around here.
love it!
good luck this weekend. i still haven't gotten out to see the road team race this year! dang.
marscat and lauren - we'll be slummin' in the east bay hills next weekend for a fun ride! Maybe we'll see you out there.
lauren - the ride to which Ms. Chatterbox alludes is a farewell ride with the road team member moving to NJ and her hubbie. Route will be from Fremont to Euclid/Hearst. Don't recall all the route details, but after crossing 580 in the CV area it will be Redwood/Pinehurst/Skyline/Grizzly Peak with an option for doing the killer section on Marin. Look for a ragtag group, with possibly two women in VG team kit.
Anyone have food recommendations near Euclid/Hearst? Been a couple decades plus since I was a Bezerkely denizen, and then that intersection meant Laval's Pizza as we stumbled down from the Paleo dept.
yep! they'll be in my neck of the woods. i'm close to skyline/redwood.
sounds like a fun ride!
i won't see you guys out there though, we'll be in marin on a nice long road ride with a tandem and a kid.
fall...looking forward to fall...
Good luck with your race, Chatterbox.
Thanks, Chris!
